Our last Open House before distribution starts July 22! First thing is THANK YOU for all the birthday wishes! I had a great day!
Our clothing numbers are ahead of last year’s numbers, so awesome job everyone! One thing I failed to mention on Saturday is that 5,139 school kids have been registered along with another 1,500 foster kids for a total of 6,639 kids! In addition, a special distribution will be held at Luke Air Force Base for an additional 700-1,000 kids on July 31. It’s a good thing we have more clothes.
Our distribution is still at Grand Canyon University however we will be in a different arena, the Lopes Performance Center (LPC). You will now enter the parking garage on 35th Ave at Georgia Ave. Upon entering the garage, drive as far as possible into the garage and this will decrease your walk to the LPC.
LPC is the same size as the main arena however our inventory storage area is VERY small requiring lots of planning. In order for us to plan correctly, all inventory must be turned in by June 27. If you bring inventory on Monday or Tuesday, you may have to hold it, seriously! We will be at 35th Ave Sew and Vac on Sunday, June 23 from 10-2:30 and at BTSCD on Thursday, June 27 from 9:30-1:30. If you cannot deliver your items either of these dates, you can call BTSCD (602-256-9408) and talk with Janette and arrange a time when she will be there. DO NOT just stop by to drop off your items as they may not be there. If you cannot reach her, please call me to assist 602-339-8746.
One great thing is the food court is very close to us! Taco Bell is in the building next to us and Jamba Juice and Habit Burger Grill across from that. Lopes Way has Chick-fil-a, Grid Convenience Store then Panda Express. Much better choices this year without that long hot walk.

Monday 7/22 7:30-12:30 2 needed to cover entrance/exit doors, 5 sit down, 3 shoppers and 2 backroom
11:30-4:30 1 exit door, 3 shoppers
Tuesday 7/23 7:30-12:30 2 needed to cover entrance/exit doors, 3 sit down, 21 shoppers and 2 backroom
11:30-4:30 2 needed to cover entrance/exit doors, 19 shoppers
Wednesday 7/24 7:30-12:30 2 needed to cover entrance/exit doors, 1 sit down and 18 shoppers
11:30-4:30 2 needed to cover entrance/exit doors, 2 sit down and 19 shoppers
Thursday 7/25 7:30-12:30 all spots are open as I have no volunteers
11:30-4:30 2 needed to cover entrance/exit doors, 3 sit down and 10 shoppers
4:00-8:00 2 needed to cover entrance/exit doors, 3 sit down and 7 shoppers
Friday 7/26 7:30-12:30 (at the latest) boxing up the leftover inventory for Luke Air Force Base
