Hi everyone
I apologize for the late reminder for our meeting this Saturday, but I was hoping the distribution volunteer website would be up and running, but alas it is not available yet. As a reminder, I will no longer have the manual sign up sheets for distribution. Everyone will now go online at Back to School Clothing Drive and sign up to volunteer in Stitches of Love. We no longer have the number of volunteers in our group to support our department and I am hoping that others will volunteer in our department when they sign up to volunteer. If the website is available on Saturday, I will have my laptop for you to sign up so be thinking about what shift you want to work. Set up will be Sunday, July 16 from 9-12, shopping with the kids, Monday-Wednesday (Thursday is still not confirmed) 7:30-12:30, 12:00-5:00 or 4:30-8:00.
May and June is it for turning in your items! If you have any pillowcase or wallet kits that you are not able to finish, please turn them in on Saturday so we can have them finished as they are needed for distribution. Our latest inventory is attached.
A few side notes. Many of us purchased the small Steamfast iron and there has been a recall of those purchased between 2008 and March 2017. If you google the iron’s name you will find the details to see if your iron has been recalled and how to receive a refund.
We have talked in the past about the excellent serger class at 35th Ave Sew and Vac and they have the class on the schedule again. YEAH! This is an excellent class led by Cathy Recio and will be held at both the Chandler and Northern stores. This is not a user class but a class to show you serger basics. The class is $35 and you will take your serger to class. Please reach out to the store for the dates.
